Another case decision was published October 2nd, 2013 on the Oregon Courts Website.  The case was State vs. Currin.

Currin appealed the denial of her request to suppress evidence during her trial.  The arresting officer in the case performed a warrantless search of a white envelope in her car, believing it contained drugs, which it did.

The Court of Appeals reversed the decision of the trial court and decided in favor of the defendant in that the officer did not have sufficient “probable cause” to search the envelope.
